It seems like the kind of thing that could only have been made pre-Code (Gary Cooper selling a child?). I recorded it on TV last year and excitedly began watching it only to realize that the recording had been constantly interrupted by a bad thunderstorm we had. I'm determined to see it soon because the combo of Lombard, Cooper, and Temple sounds great. I was watching it for Gary Cooper, but found myself really enjoying Carole Lombard's performance, despite her having a smaller role. I was used to thinking of her as a comedian, but she proved how poignant she could be. Great review of this lesser-known film!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06318052777683415613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5719905867000998397.post-67214786858469316442017-01-17T15:02:46.944-02:002017-01-17T15:02:46.944-02:00Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this film. This looks like a very stylish film, judging by the images you've posted, and those are beautiful photos of Shirley T. and Gary C. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.
