It may be time to read it again!

I've only ever tried to watch the Leslie Caron film, and I couldn't get into it. I think the casting didn't match the characters I imagined when I read the book. However, I am keen to see the Mary Pickford version, thanks to your post. :)Silver Screeningshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04955048716754142299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5719905867000998397.post-29852706889592241112016-04-10T09:57:28.803-03:002016-04-10T09:57:28.803-03:00Le, I enjoyed this book when I was younger and I&#...Le, I enjoyed this book when I was younger and I've seen all 3 versions that you discuss here. I really enjoyed the silent version with Mary Pickford and the Astaire/Caron musical. Even though I like Janet Gaynor and Warner Baxter a lot, I didn't think that version was quite as good as the other two. I'd be interested to see the Shirley Temple version too! Thanks for a great posting.Judyhttp://movieclassics.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5719905867000998397.post-83609518184976610132016-04-09T23:23:49.106-03:002016-04-09T23:23:49.106-03:00Thanks for a marvelous review of these three movie...Thanks for a marvelous review of these three movie adaptations of the book!
